Tell the FBI: Respect our privacy

The FBI is planning a rollout of new and unnecessary surveillance powers that would give our government too much power and trample on our constitutional rights. Under new rules, agents would no longer need to have a “factual basis” of evidence to undertake surveillance on American citizens. This includes:

• The power to search your trash without evidence of wrongdoing
• Database surveillance, also without evidence of wrongdoing
• No requirement to keep records of these search and surveillance procedures

It’s time we stood up and stopped this government overreach.
