Planned Parenthood Action Fund Endorses Montana Farmer Jon Tester in Campaign for United States Senate
Jon Has Relentlessly Fought for Women and Their Right to Make Their Own Health Care Decisions
Billings—Today, Planned Parenthood Action Fund endorsed farmer and United States Senator Jon Tester in his re-election campaign. Tester has consistently defended a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions and gone to bat to increase access to affordable health care for all Montanans.
“Montana women deserve equal rights and equal opportunities, and that’s the bottom line,” Tester said. “I will never stop fighting against out-of-touch Washington politicians’ efforts to get between a woman and her doctor. And I’ll always fight against folks trying to chip away at our personal freedoms. I’m proud to stand with Planned Parenthood Action Fund and their mission to protect access to basic health care services and rights for Montana women.”
“Throughout his tenure in the Senate, Senator Jon Tester has been an ardent champion for the over 10,000 Planned Parenthood patients in the state,” said Martha Stahl, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Montana. “He has worked continuously to protect their access to the full range of reproductive health care and we know he will fight back against any attack that threaten that access. Montanans can count on Senator Tester to continue fighting for them.”
Tester’s record is clear: he’s stood up to Washington politicians on behalf of Montana women. He’s earned a 100 percent Planned Parenthood Action Fund rating by consistently defending reproductive rights and a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions throughout his career.
