NEW TV AD: Montana Veterans Speak Out—“We Deserve Way Better Than Maryland Matt Rosendale”
Billings—Today, the campaign for Big Sandy farmer and United States Senator Jon Tester launched a new 30-second statewide television ad featuring Montana veterans slamming Matt Rosendale for having one of the worst records on veterans during his time in the state legislature.
Rosendale regularly voted against common-sense measures to support Montana veterans.
He opposed funding for the Southwest Montana Veterans Home, even though prominent veterans groups and the veterans community in Montana long pushed for the project to be funded.
Rosendale also voted against funding for the veterans home in Columbia Falls, a home assistance program for Montana veterans and Gold Star families, and scholarships for Montana Purple Heart recipients.
WATCH: “Deserve”
“Montana veterans made too many sacrifices for this country to be shoved to the sidelines by people like Matt Rosendale,” said Christie Roberts, campaign manager for Montanans for Tester. “Rosendale racked up one of the worst records in the legislature when it came to Montana veterans—from opposing funding for veterans homes to voting against a home assistance program for Gold Star families and scholarships for Purple Heart veterans. The record is clear—Montana veterans deserve better.”
