Montanans for Tester Surpasses $2 Million in Fundraising For First Quarter of 2018

Billings—Today, the campaign for farmer and U.S. Sen Jon Tester reported raising more than $2 million in the first quarter of 2018. The campaign has $6.8 million in cash-on-hand. This quarter’s numbers show a continued groundswell of support across the state for Montana farmer and United States Senator Jon Tester, who has received contributions from every single one of Montana’s 56 counties this election cycle.

This quarter, Tester’s campaign received 7,307 contributions from Montanans.

“Outside dark money groups are already flooding Montana with millions of dollars trying to buy this election and paint Jon Tester as someone he’s not—but these special interest groups are no match for Jon’s grassroots support in Montana,” said Christie Roberts, Campaign Manager for Montanans for Tester. “Whether he is holding government accountable back in Washington or meeting with folks across the Treasure State, Montanans know Jon won’t stop fighting for the place three generations of his family have called home.”
