Tester’s New TV Ad – Doing What’s Right for Montana… Always

Montana farmer supports balanced budget amendment, opposes bailouts

BILLINGS, Mont. – Montanans for Tester today launched a powerful new spot highlighting Jon Tester’s record of “doing what’s right for Montana, always.”

The new 30-second ad showcases the Montana farmer’s vote against both the Wall Street and auto bailouts. The ad also highlights Tester’s work in removing Montana’s wolves from the Endangered Species Act, his support of the Keystone XL Pipeline and his vote in favor of a constitutional amendment to balance the federal budget.

The spot answers the question of why corporate special interests like Karl Rove’s secretive Crossroads GPS and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce are spending millions on TV ads in Montana on behalf of Congressman Dennis Rehberg.

“Why are out-of-state, corporate Super PACs attacking Jon Tester?” the ad begins. “Because Jon always puts Montana first.”

“Jon’s agenda is Montana’s agenda, and he stands up to anyone to do what’s right for our state,” said Montanans for Tester spokeswoman Alexandra Fetissoff. “That’s a powerful message for Montana as out-of-state special interests pour millions into our state to try and buy votes for Congressman Dennis Rehberg—their reliable yes-man in Washington, D.C.”
