Tester: Missouri comments ‘an irresponsible setback’ in fight for women’s rights

BILLINGS, Mont. – Montana farmer Jon Tester today said comments made by Missouri Congressman Todd Akin are “yet another irresponsible setback” in the fight to guarantee the right of women to make their own health care decisions:

“Over the past year, too many politicians in Congress have tried very hard to take away the right of women to make their own health care decisions. I join most Montanans in standing with women to demand that they have that fundamental right. These remarks are another irresponsible setback in this important fight.”
