New TV spot highlights Tester’s Montana-first record, and his famous flattop

‘Sure, I don’t agree with him on everything, but he’s standing up for Montana’

BILLINGS, Mont.— Cutting through the avalanche of out-of-state attack ads airing across Montana, Jon Tester’s latest TV spot returns to a familiar location with a familiar message: Jon Tester is “as Montana as it gets.”

The new ad, now airing statewide, takes Montanans to the Riverview Barbershop in Great Falls, Mont., where Tester regularly gets his famous $8 flattop haircuts twice a month.

The 30-second spot features two Montanans waiting for haircuts and praising Tester’s votes to protect farms and ranches from the death tax and his votes against the Wall Street and auto industry bailouts.

“Sure, I don’t agree with Jon Tester on everything,” one of the men says, adding that Tester stands up for Montana.  “He’s responsibly reducing the debt, protecting, seniors, veterans, farmers and ranchers.”

The men discuss how the out-of-state ads on behalf of lobbyist-turned-Congressman Dennis Rehberg have “got it all wrong” about Tester’s record, noting Tester is “as Montana as it gets.”

The ad also features Tester’s long-time barber, Bill Graves, and Tester himself.
