Montana Building Trades Council Endorses Jon Tester

Unanimous endorsement represents 6,000 Montana construction workers and builders

BILLINGS, Mont. – Construction workers and builders across Montana are throwing their support behind Jon Tester’s Senate campaign with a unanimous endorsement from the Montana Building and Construction Trades Council.

The union represents 6,000 dues-paying private-sector builders and construction workers.

Montana Building & Construction Trades Council President John Roeber made the endorsement official today at the organization’s annual convention in Butte.

“Senator Tester, your involvement in community meetings, and hearing our concerns on our way of life as you walk with us in Montana shows that you care about the middle class and the less fortunate. I am proud that the Building Trades has a friend like you,” Roeber wrote in his endorsement announcement.

Tester is the only Senate candidate to support Montana’s construction industry and Montana jobs through the Recovery Act and the Highway Reauthorization Bill, which was recently blocked by the House of Representatives.

The support of Montana’s construction workers builds on ester’s support from Montana workers and working families. He has already been endorsed by the Rural Letter Carriers Association, Montana teachers (MEA-MFT) and the Montana State Firemen’s Association.
