Controversial Wall Street billionaire gives thousands more to Rehberg

Another ‘Aspirin between the knees’ donation highlights Rehberg’s irresponsible agenda

BILLINGS, Mont. – Congressman Dennis Rehberg is aligning himself even closer with controversial Wall Street billionaire Foster Friess, who earlier this year suggested that millions of women in America put Aspirin tablets “between their knees” for contraception.

According to a new fundraising report Rehberg cashed $2,000 in campaign checks from Friess and his wife, Lynette, in the month of May.

Friess has bragged about his intent to influence Montana’s elections throughout 2012 and has now donated a total of $4,500 to Rehberg — enough to purchase more than 600,000 Aspirin tablets from a Montana Wal-Mart.

The donation fuels Rehberg’s agenda of rolling back the clock on women’s health care.

As chairman of a House appropriations subcommittee, Rehberg tried twice in 2011 to zero out funding for Planned Parenthood.

Rehberg also supports a push to reinstate the ability for health insurance companies to charge women higher costs than men on the basis of gender.

Freiss has plenty of controversy to match his money. He bankrolled the failed presidential campaign of Rick Santorum and recently asked if the President’s teleprompters “are bullet-proof.”
