Missoulian: Sen. Tester hosting small business workshop in Missoula on July 17

Montana senator Jon Tester will hold his 15th Small Business Opportunity Workshop in Missoula on July 17.

The theme of the workshop will be about helping small businesses in the state “hit their stride” and gain the tools needed to grow and expand.

The free workshop is scheduled to take place at 8 a.m. Friday, July 17, in the University Center Theater at the University of Montana.

Later this week, the senator will announce a special guest and “renowned Montana entrepreneur” who will be the keynote speaker. Previous participants in the workshops, which Sen. Tester has held since 2009 with a different theme each time, include representatives from the U.S. Department of Commerce and Department of Agriculture, Microsoft, Delta, Facebook, Google and Lockheed Martin.
