Ravalli Republic: New director named for VA Montana

Sen. Jon Tester announced the hiring of Christine Gregory on Thursday. She is currently the associate director of patient care for Veteran’s Affairs in Des Moines, Iowa.

Gregory will replace acting VA Montana Director Lavonne Liversage.

A permanent replacement was sought after former Director Robin Korogi was reassigned to Denver in April 2012, a month after The Billings Gazette reported two eight-bed wings of a 24-bed psychiatric hospital at VA Montana were still not open nine months after construction was completed.
