Missoulian: Jon Tester: He’s been an advocate for vets
Tester has been an incredible advocate for veterans since his very first days in the Senate. One of the things that he heard from veterans, including from me, is the need for more transportation options to help veterans get to their medical appointments.
Tester has been a big supporter of the Disabled American Veterans van program. In fact, due to a bill he wrote and got signed into law, the VA is in the final stages of establishing a program through which the DAV can get access to resources to upgrade their vans.
