Lake County Leader: Tester makes stop in Polson
United States Senator Jon Tester made an appearance at the Polson Public Library on Tuesday afternoon, where he addressed a wide range of questions from a small gathering of local citizens.
The opportunity to come face-to-face with the recently re-elected Senator was arranged by the Polson Chamber of Commerce after receiving word that Tester was traveling between Missoula to Kalispell.
“It’s nice that he spent the time with us. He could’ve gone and had dinner somewhere but he chose to be here,” said chamber president Rich Forbis.
Conversation during the hour-long visit shifted from the partisan gridlock in Congress to the national deficit, the Farm Bill, gun control, the struggle of small business owners, the proposed Keystone Pipeline and other subject matter.
