KXLH: Tester talking tough when it comes to body scans

U.S. Senator Jon Tester is renewing his push to criminalize the misuse of airport body scan images.

The U.S. Senate is currently debating legislation related to the Federal Aviation Administration.

Tester is calling on his colleagues to support his plan to protect passengers’ safety, and privacy.

“Montanans need to be safe when they board an airplane and they shouldn’t have to sacrifice their freedoms and their civil liberties to do so,” said Tester. “Congress has an opportunity to step up to the plate and do what’s right and ensure security while not violating civil liberties. This is a common sense approach that we need to do.”
