Great Falls Tribune: Ex-state water chief named to ni-national panel
Montana native Rich Moy was appointed to the U.S.-Canadian International Joint Commission by President Barack Obama.
Moy worked for Montana’s Department of Natural Resources and Conservation as head of its water-resources division for more than three decades. He also served as chairman of the Flathead Basin Commission and is a senior fellow for the Center for Natural Resources and Environmental Policy at the University of Montana.
Sens. Max Baucus and Jon Tester, both Montana Democrats, nominated Moy for the independent bi-national commission, which works to prevent and resolve boundary water disputes between the U.S. and Canada.
