KULR 8: Tester, Schweitzer See Off Guard Unit
MISSOULA – Roughly 50 members of the Montana Army National Guard’s 49th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion left Sunday on a deployment that will have them building barracks and expanding bases in Afghanistan for more than a year.
Gov. Brian Schweitzer and U.S. Sen. Jon Tester were on hand at the Missoula International Airport to see off the troops.
The members of the 230th Vertical Engineer Company will spend two months training in Hawaii before heading to Afghanistan.
