KULR 8: Operation Stand-down
BILLINGS – Hundreds rally Friday to help meet the basic needs of homeless armed services men and women.
The Billings area is home to more than 400 homeless veterans, many of whom aren’t aware of the services that are available. Stand-downs like Friday’s are a collaborative effort to provide food, shelter, clothing, and many other services to those in need.
“Surviving is an issue,” said Montana’s Junior Senator Jon Tester, “some of these folks come back and they need help and they don’t know where to go to get it, that’s why events like this are so critically important.”
