KFBB: Over 100 People Attend Tester's Veterans Opportunity Workshop in Great Falls
Montana ranks 2nd per capita in veteran population, and veterans here in our home state face a unique set of challenges. And to help with some of those difficulties, Senator Jon Tester hosted a Veterans Opportunity Workshop this morning in Great Falls.
Tester was on hand to answer questions, as over 100 people attended this morning. The senator has hosted workshops in the past, but today was the first event devoted entirely to veterans issues, featuring classes on education, navigating the VA, families of deployed service-members, and jobs.
Progress has been made with veteran care through the Rural Veterans Health Care Improvement Act and with better information on dealing with the VA.
