KFBB: Great Falls Labor Day Picnic Attracts Hundreds to Montana Expo Park
Labor Day means no school — and no work — for many of us, and today, the place to be in Great Falls was the Montana Expo Park, as the community gathered to celebrate the significance of this holiday.
Even though cool weather brought the celebration indoors, locals were eager to take part in the time-honored Labor Day picnic here in Great Falls.
Two young Great Falls residents, Anna and Rachel, share the reason they’re not in school today.
“Because it’s a holiday. Because it’s Labor Day.”
Adds Senator Jon Tester, “It’s all about celebrating what this country’s about. The working class folks that have really built this country into what it is today.”
