KFBB: Fort Harrison Groundbreaking
Senator Jon Tester was at Fort Harrison today to help with the groundbreaking of a new mental health inpatient facility.
The new inpatient facility will have 24 beds and will allow veterans to stay in Montana for residential rehabilitation for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, substance abuse, and depression.
Currently, Montana veterans with mental health disabilities must go to North Dakota, Wyoming, or Idaho for treatment. This has created a lack of family and local support, which is essential for the health improvement of mentally ill patients.
