Great Falls Tribune: Tester: GOP proposals meant to stall health bill
HELENA (AP) — Sen. Jon Tester says Republican plans to introduce amendments to a health care reconciliation bill is merely a stalling tactic that won’t work.
Voting is expected to start in the Senate late Wednesday on the amendments to the bill that makes changes Democrats agreed to in the main legislation already signed President Obama.
The GOP amendments cover various areas, including a proposed prohibition of coverage of Viagra for sex offenders. Should any pass, the bill would have to go back to the House.
