HELENA, Mont. (AP) – U.S. Sen. Jon Tester is lashing back at ads criticizing his support of a “big bank bailout” that he says doesn’t exist.
The ads airing in Montana from a little-known political group with links to conservatives is urging Montanans to oppose a “big bank bailout bill.” It refers to a bill that Democrats say is about regulation — not handouts.
Tester says automated calls to Montana mislead residents, then automatically reroute the call to Tester’s office.
