Business Week: Help available for laid off Montana rail workers

Montana Rail Link workers laid off earlier this year due to the closure of the Smurfit-Stone Container linerboard plant in Frenchtown are eligible for federal assistance.

Sens. Max Baucus and Jon Tester said Tuesday that the Department of Labor approved the Trade Adjustment Assistance petition filed by MRL. TAA benefits include extended unemployment insurance, job training, job search and relocation allowances along with a health care tax credit.
