ABC Montana: VA breaks ground on new mental health facility
HELENA – Officials with the VA Medical Center at Fort Harrison have broken ground on a $6.7 million mental health care facility.
The 24-bed inpatient facility will be the first VA mental health facility in Montana. Currently, veterans have to travel out of state for treatment of substance abuse issues and post traumatic stress disorder.

Sen. Jon Tester, a member of the Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs, joined a team of doctors and directors on the grounds of the VA hospital west of Helena for Tuesday’s groundbreaking.
