One thing is clear about Dennis Rehberg: he can’t be trusted to stand up for Montana women and our families. Rehberg voted against equal pay protections for women, and enthusiastically supported the effort to take away access to preventive care — including breast cancer screenings — by defunding Planned Parenthood.
Fortunately, one candidate in this race is on our side. Jon Tester is fighting for Montana women and our families.
Jon’s the only farmer in the Senate, and having that agricultural background makes a real difference. He knows that in the ranching business, women work just as hard as our fathers and husbands do. Jon voted for the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act because unlike Dennis Rehberg, he doesn’t think we deserve less pay than men for the same day’s work.
Jon also fought against the war on women’s health care by opposing Dennis Rehberg’s plan to defund Planned Parenthood. Rehberg’s war to destroy Montana’s preventive care facilities affects more than just women in our state — losing our access to breast cancer screenings and other crucial healthcare services would also impact our families. And those of us with daughters of our own — well, we would do anything to make sure they always can get the medical care they need.
The choice is clear: Jon Tester stands with women and families in Montana. Dennis Rehberg doesn’t. That’s why we have to stand with Jon in this campaign.
