We have important agencies in place to be watchdogs for consumers.

But instead of taking on fraud and defending hard-working Americans, Mick Mulvaney, the head Washington bureaucrat in charge of consumer protection, is using his power to protect predatory corporations, even withdrawing an investigation against one of his former campaign donors.

The privacy of more than 367,000 Montanans was jeopardized by the Equifax data breach. It’s critical that our watchdog agencies are continuing to investigate to ensure that Montanans are protected.
