The PATRIOT Act is expiring — which means Congress has until the end of May to decide whether to continue it, change it, or let the law expire.
The law contains many provisions that trample on Americans’ rights and civil liberties – including a provision, that allows the NSA to collect phone records without obtaining a warrant.
Some members of Congress want to extend the law as it is, leaving the bad policy intact. We say no.
