CITIZENS UNITED: Sign the Brief!

Citizens’ Brief on Citizens United We the people stand strong in support of the Montana law that limits corporate spending in elections. We believe elections should be decided by people and their ideas -- not corporations and their money. We urge the U.S. Supreme Court not only to uphold this law, but also to reconsider its decision in the Citizens United case, which has created a windfall of special interest spending in elections. Citizens United has: Given millionaires, billionaires, and corporations the opportunity to spend millions to influence elections -- dwarfing the voice of the American people. Taken the transparency out of our election process by allowing certain entities to collect money from undisclosed donors and spend that money without limit. We urge the Justices of the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold the Montana law limiting corporate funds in elections, and take this first step toward overturning Citizens United today.
