Our names are Ryan Rusche and Amy Stiffarm and we have the pleasure to co-chair an exciting grassroots team that supports Senator Jon Tester’s campaign and his efforts in Indian Country: American Indians for Tester.
There’s no question about Jon’s commitment to the Native American community. He’s set the bar higher than anyone before him.
One of Jon’s first formal visits back to Montana after being elected to the US Senate was to the Blackfeet Reservation — where he held a tribal college summit at the Blackfeet Community College to listen to the issues of the Native American community. He said he would visit and he did.
Add that to Jon’s support of the Indian Health Care Improvement Act and his exceptional work on the Senate Indian Affairs Committee, and you get just a few of the many reasons why we’re excited to help lead this effort. Join our team on Facebook now.
When you join American Indians for Tester, you’ll get the latest updates on his race for reelection and news on Jon’s work in Indian Country. And we’ll let you know of all the ways you can support Jon‘s campaign in your community.
Whether it’s Jon’s role in securing the Cobell Settlement and the Crow Water Compact, his efforts to get recognition for the Little Shell, his work to combat Indian youth suicide, or his commitment to promote stronger ties between State, Federal, and Tribal jurisdictions to target methamphetamine abuse, Jon always stands proudly with Montana’s Native American community. That’s why we’re proud to stand with him — and we hope you will too.
