Standing Against Bailouts while Cutting The Debt
Like most Montanans, Jon is fed up with the mess both parties have created by sweeping America’s debt problem under the rug.
Jon opposes bailouts. He was the only Senate Democrat to vote against both bailouts of Wall Street and the U.S. automakers. He believes it’s not the responsibility of taxpayers to foot the bill for failing corporations.
Jon also knows that it’s the role of members of Congress to take a scalpel to every bit of government waste and make sure taxpayers are getting the most bang for their buck. That’s why Jon has successfully worked to cut wasteful and ineffective spending.
Jon will always stand up to protect important programs like Social Security and Medicare. Now is the time to get them back on the road to solvency and sustainability so our kids and grandkids have this security net when they reach old-age.
