Tester Expresses Disgust over Burns’ Vote to Allow Pesticide Testing

“I’ve been a farmer my whole life, said Big Sandy farmer Jon Tester.

“I inherited this land from my family, and provide for my children and grandchild on this land. I know firsthand the harms of pesticides and find it irresponsible that Senator Burns would allow pesticides to be tested on children and pregnant women.

As a farmer, Tester decided to stop using pesticides because of the negative effect on his family and farm.

“Montanans don’t want to be guinea pigs for pesticides, Tester said. “And we expect our representatives in Washington, D.C., to do better. This is a major lapse in moral judgment and just shows how out of touch Conrad Burns is with Montana.

It’s time for a change in Washington, and Jon Tester promises he’ll never compromise the safety of Montanans.
